Finjan is a lovely Middle Eastern restaurant in Antwerp with a wide range mouth-watering menu. The interior is unique. It feels authentic yet urban with the marble floor, metal and woody material combinations. The entrance has a bit dark atmosphere yet relaxed, and on the back, there is a big round wood table. It doesn’t make you feel like you are in a random pita place to have a quick bite.
We ordered a starter, a falafel, and Shoarma Varken (which means Shwarma Pork). That was my first time eating a shwarma made of pork meat, and I loved it! I liked tasting the turmeric inside of the well seasoned and right cooked meat.
The falafel was super crispy, and more importantly, the sauce was perfect. Even though there are “only falafel” places in Antwerp, Finjan’s falafel is a powerful competitor. To read about my favorite falafel place in Antwerp so far, click here.
The service was correct and right on time. The person behind the bar was super friendly and welcoming. When the weather is good, sitting outside is an option, and the street is beautiful. We are fully satisfied with Finjan Antwerp and will come back here and update this post. In total, we paid 22 euros and left happy 🙂
