Wait, wait and wait…
Who likes to spend time waiting? No one on the earth! It took more than 15 minutes for the server to come to our table. I think that was the signal for the following events that we are not aware of yet.
We ordered Avocado Toast (13.50€) and Pork Belly Toast (10.00€) together with a macchiato (2.50€) and a long black coffee (3.00€). Even though there were only three tables except us, and three servers taking care of it, our coffees arrived in 10 minutes. Another 20 minutes flew for my toast. It was weird that they didn’t serve us at the same time. Last but not least, we noticed that a party of four who came later than we, got the service first.
We were starving after a total of 40 minutes waiting and started to eat my toast together. I liked the bread of the toast; it was soft and tasty. However, one of the poached eggs cooked hard. I don’t know you guys but I’m a big #eggslut, and hard-boiled poached eggs are a big no-no for me. I started to get suspicious about the other toast since it was still not on the table and I went to ask for it. If I wouldn’t ask, they would never realize that they forgot my order. One of the servers (probably also the manager) apologized for her colleague’s mistake. Since we didn’t want to wait for another 20-30 minutes for a forgotten toast, we left. Yes, shit happens. But, I’m sure there are some other ways to manage those situations, especially if you wasted someone’s time.
Overall, Moss looks cool from the outside, BUT, we had the impression that they are non-professional. Considering their pricine$$, waiting that long (more than 40 minutes) and having a toast with one mistakenly hard-boiled and one runny poached egg lowers their performance/price ratio. The choice is yours 🙂
